2008 PWOP Mother of the Year
Vicki Rogers
When we look to a dictionary to define what a
mother is, it reads

a female parent; a woman in authority;
specifically : the superior of a religious
community of women

In Proverbs 31:28, the bible defines a mother to
be one in which

"Her children arise and call her blessed; her
husband also, and he praises her."

Everyday we are surrounded by mothers who are
the epitome of these definitions.  However we all
know that being a mother is so much more than
what words can express on paper.  Being a
mother of the highest honor is a person that
touches her family, friends, and acquaintances
in a way that a legacy of the heart of is carried
forward.

Today we want to honor a mother who not only
lives up both the dictionary definition and God’s
definition of a mother but one who has also
demonstrated Powerful Women of Praise’s
philosophy of
stepping out and stepping up.
This vibrant woman, mother, sister, aunt,
daughter, friend has consistently stepped out on
faith and stepped up her level of passion for life.
She is a woman that adds joy to the lives of
others just by being in their presence.  She is a
mother that we all admire for her adversity and
dedication.

She is our first recipient of the PWOP’s 2008
Mother of the Year Award.
