| PWOP will be providing scholarships to women that are bettering their lives through the means of post secondary education. The program sponsors two distinct types of scholarships for women in the Inland Empire communities. There is a scholarship for women 29 & under and a scholarship for women over 30. Applications will be available September 2008. All scholarships will be awarded at our 2009 gala event, and therefor all applicants must be able to make a commitment to attend the gala to receive their award. | PWOP Scholarship Program |
Throughout the year, Powerful Women of Praise (PWOP), an Inland Empire women’s spiritual book club will be
assembling food and household goods baskets for those in need. Changes in our economy, cost of living
increases, rising fuel costs, downsizing, outsourcing, and a variety of other factors are making it difficult for some
families to make ends meet. PWOP recognizes this need and feels that it is up to all of us to reach out and support
each other in any way we can. As we go into the holiday season, we are asking people to nominate families that they
know that are most in need of food or household supplies. Help families you know in need by nominating them to
receive a food or household supplies basket from PWOP. There are a limited number of baskets available. Families
will be chosen based on the nominee’s statement.
